Standing By the Door, Drawing in a Book
With Sylvia Juncosa band inactive and Lynette Skynyrd out for the holidays, it's been a quiet time musically. But creativity must continue in one form or another, so I've turned to artwork as an outlet. It also so happens that I won't smoke inside the house, and when I go outside I don't feel comfortable just standing there doing nothing but smoking, so I bring my little notebook and start drawing pictures. Next thing you know a half hour has gone by and I'm still standing outside the door in the 40-degree night ... Going outside hasn't cut down on my smoking, but it sure has added to my art notebook ...

Lookin' Cool and Hangin' Out With Rock Stars
Lynette Skynyrd played on the eve of the Grand Opening of Lynyrd Skynyrd BBQ & Beer venue in Las Vegas, at a special pre-opening private party for the members of Lynyrd Skynyrd and their associates. Lynette, which as you know features Sylvia on guitar, has been around less than a year, and gets the gig of a lifetime for a tribute band, playing their venue and with the Skynyrd guys right there in the audience, and the Honkettes (those great ladies who sing harmonies for Skynyrd) joined us onstage for "Sweet Home Alabama".
