After almost 20 years, the SWA video has been unearthed. SWA, you remember, was Chuck Dukowski (former Black Flag), Merrill Ward, Greg Cameron, and for the year of 1986-1987 included Sylvia on guitar. That year SWA put out an album called "XCIII", and SST produced a video for the song "Arroyo" featuring Sylvia as an SG-shredding desert shaman priestess, Chuck as a deranged prospector a la "Hills Have Eyes", Greg as a motorcycle dude, Merrill as a lovelorn swain lost in the wastelands, and Abby Travis as a beautiful desert mirage. Check it out on YouTube:

We're releasing two new songs. A double!
What's a double? - It's like a single, but with two songs not just one.
But didn't singles always have two songs? - Yeah, but this is gonna have two KILLER songs instead of one killer song and a b-side.
What's a b-side? - Well, back in the day, music was distributed to the masses on little black pancakes, and you'd listen to one side (a) and flip it over and listen to the other side (b)
What an awful lot of work! Why didn't they just snatch it from Pirate Bay? - *sigh* Well we hope people will pick up this single at CDBaby, this website, or one of our gigs. Or just listen to them on MySpace:
Just out! The July issue of Punk Globe, a monthly online zine (does that make it an "on-zine" ?) put out by the prolific Ginger Coyote, full of articles, interviews, photos, gossip, the works
Another round of great photos, entertaining writing, fun conversation, styley layout, and good vibes from the energetic team of Flipside 2010. Get the download from their site:
So stoked on this, I was compelled to blog about it:
Posted clips on YouTube from the recent Silver Factory gig, this is the latest band version with Steve Reed on drums and Tom Hofer on bass. View here:
The Women of Crenshaw are a group of punker friends live in an old Craftsman just south of Mid-City. Our neighbors and a mighty coincidence! We were thrilled when they invited us to join them on a gig they are holding this coming Saturday. The House is just north of the NW corner of Washington Blvd. and Crenshaw Blvd., in between the Starbucks and the Kappa House. Things get started around 9 pm.

September 18 was the day this Earth lost its Jimi Hendrix. This bill features some hard rockin', groovin' and shreddin' bands and we all intend to pay tribute on this night. Let it be known, we're carrying the torch. SJ plays last, at midnight.
